ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry reported that Jackson’s surgery was “non-invasive,” fixing an issue Jackson was born with so he could “‘feel his best.'”
Jackson signed a five-year deal worth $82.5 million over this offseason, becoming one of the crown jewels of the new-look Brandon Staley alongside Derwin James in the secondary. Jackson leads the league in interceptions since 2018 and has maintained a 48.9% completion rate when targeted over that span.
Jackson’s injury timetable puts him in jeopardy of missing Week 1’s opening game in Los Angeles against the Las Vegas Raiders.
