Capitals Down Detroit, 4-2; McMichael Earns Two Points, Oshie Leaves And Does Not Return (Upper-Body)

The Washington Capitals downed the Detroit Red Wings by a score of 4-2 at Capital One Arena on Wednesday night to improve to 3-1-1 in the preseason. Goaltender Darcy Kuemper played the whole game and made 31 saves.

19:48, 1-1 (PPG): McMichael redirected Ovechkin’s wrist shot from the left dot over the glove of goaltender Ville Husso in front.

Oshie left the game after taking a high hit into the boards by right-wing Joe Veleno. He would not return with a lower-body injury.
