The Capitals announced that the 35-year old would not return to the game and will be re-evaluated tomorrow.
Injury update: #Caps TJ Oshie (upper body) will not return to tonight’s game and will be re-evaluated tomorrow.

Oshie played in just 44 games (11g, 14a) last season after dealing with more than one injury. Oshie also had a procedure done during the off-season.
“It was just a core procedure that needed to get done. Happened at the end of March. Something that I played through. Got it done, I think, two or three weeks after the season ended. We’re almost kinda back to full. Didn’t do the skate test today, just didn’t want to get too sore for the practices, playing the real hockey.”
Caps Coach Peter Laviolette said T.J. Oshie (upper body) and Dmitry Orlov (lower) are both day to day.
Oshie “probably will not play” in the Caps’ last preseason game on Saturday. “He’s dealing with something.”
Orlov is “maintenance/day-to-day,” WSH will see how he is tomorrow.
