HARTFORD, Conn. – Playing their fourth game in the past week, the Norwich University Women’s Ice Hockey team was defeated 3-0 at the hands of Trinity Tuesday night at the Koppel Community Sports Center.

For the first 40 minutes it was a scoreless affair until the Bantams broke through on a powerplay early in the third period and added an insurance marker just under three minutes later. Junior Leocadia Clark (Stowe, Vt.) held the fort making 24 saves on 27 shots, however the Cadets only mustered 14 shots on the night.

“We were outworked by a great Trinity team,” said Head Coach Sophie Leclerc Doherty. “Leo had a great game and gave us a chance, however we couldn’t put it all together.”

The fifth ranked Cadets will look to turn the page when they host third ranked Adrian Saturday night at 7 PM as part of the 12th Annual East-West Classic inside Kreitzberg Arena.
