Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie left Saturday night’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second period with an injury. The 35-year old forward has already missed a chunk of the 2022-23 season due to medical ailments.

Oshie exited the game in the middle frame just before the halfway mark of the period. The play on which he seemed to suffer the injury was a non-contact play.

The soon-to-be 36-year old right wing has played 12 games (excluding the contest against Toronto) since returning from a previous injury, from which he missed nearly a month’s-worth of games. In those 12 games, Oshie has recorded six points (3G, 3A).

In 21 Games Played this season, Oshie has scored five goals and recorded 11 Points, averaging 17:06 of ice time a night. Prior to leaving the contest against Toronto, Oshie had skated 7:04.

The Capitals announced that Oshie will not return to the game and will be re-evaluated tomorrow:
