Huron fought back with three goals in the final stanza, but SMCC held on to win for the first time in three meetings with Huron this season.

“SMCC came out determined and played hard,” said Huron coach Robert Murray. “NBU did not.  There was a lack of urgency and definitely a lack of precision on our part.  Playing a team four times in a season is difficult and it proved that way last night.  Too many mistakes as a team and too many chances for them.  We will work as a team on being better on the ice for every game, against every opponent, every night.”

Matthew Croteau, Jaxon Zawodna, Bazel Wolf and Harry Dembowski scored for Huron.
