Top 10 Moments of Women’s Ice Hockey: Brittany Ott 72 Save Game

Orono, ME – In honor of 25 years of the program’s history, UMaine Athletics is highlighting the ten top moments of Maine women’s ice hockey over the past 25 years.

On March 3, 2013 Brittany Ott set a new UMaine women’s ice hockey record for most saves in a single game after recording 72 saves in net for the Black Bears. Ott recorded 17 saves in the first period, 20 in the second period, and 34 in the third to earn herself the new record.

Ott captured the 72 save game in a 1-2 loss against Boston College. Ott beat her own previous record for most saves in a single game, previously capturing 69 saves in 2010 against Mercyhurst.
