NFL Offseason – The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed former Philadelphia Eagles guard Isaac Seumalo to a three-year contract, according to a report from The Score’s Jordan Schultz. Additional reporting from 33rd Team’s Ari Meirov. states Seumalo’s contract is for $24 million.
The Eagles took Seumalo in the third round of 2016. Between working his way to a full-time rose and missing several stretches to pectoral, knee, and Lisfranc injuries, 2022 was just Seumalo’s second season starting at least 10 games.
Seumalo finished the season with 17 blown blocks and a 1.6% snap rate on his highest snap count of his career. His 1.6% blown block rate was the second-lowest of Seumalo’s career and was sixth-best among guards with at least 1,000 snaps, per Sports Info Solutions. Seumalo allowed just two sacks on 614 passing snaps.
The Pittsburgh Steelers finished 10th in the league in adjusted line yards and 12th in adjusted sack rate in 2022.
