The Washington Capitals have released their full 2023 training camp roster for the upcoming season. This year’s camp features 36 forwards, 20 defenseman and seven goaltenders, each of which will be divided up into three groups, labeled as “A”, “B” and “C”.
The only player that will not be participating is Max Pacioretty, who is still recovering from his torn Achilles Tendon. This is the 17th ever training camp at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. All sessions are free and open to the public.
Tomorrow is the first official day of camp however it is where the veteran players will be conducting off ice testing, but that is closed to the media and public. On-ice testing for the full squad will begin on Thursday, along with 2023 Capitals Media Day.
The Capitals play their first game on Sunday, Sept. 24 against the Buffalo Sabres at 2 p.m., at Capital One Arena and then open the regular season against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Oct. 13 at 7 p.m.
