UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Craig took place Nov. 18 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC middleweight contenders Brendan Allen (23-5) and Paul Craig (17-7-1) collided in the night’s main event. The fight aired live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.

Round 1: Allen comes out and leads with a leg kick. Both men are in orthodox and feeling out the range to start, but Allen keeps throwing naked low kicks. Craig has the center and it’s Allen who is moving around the outside now.
Allen tests the waters with a straight right to the body. Moments later he rushes in and we have a clinch! Craig pushes Allen to the fence and drops to attack a leg. Allen has a whizzer and he’s defending. Strong head position from Craig as he keeps trying to find what he wants.
He cannot and Allen pivots him off the fence. Craig chasing and Allen hits him with a nice knee and then an uchi mata to take Craig down! Allen is on top in half guard and he postures up for damage. Craig brings him back down.
Positional battle here now. Allen denying Craig any space with his chest. Lots of shoulder pressure. Craig has a lockdown on Allen’s leg. Craig has an underhook and he’s looking to come up.
Craig is on a calf slicer!!! It’s in there for real! Allen tries a choke from this wonky position but Craig is cranking on it! Allen bails and defends and he attacks Craig’s ankle! Craig lets go and both men are fishing on the legs. No joy and they scramble to the feet but Allen gets the waist and dumps Craig right back down! That was fun!
Good shot from the top from Allen. Time running down and Allen lands a few more good shots, one that opens a cut on Craig’s face.

Round 2: The cut is just above the outside of the right eye of Craig but it doesn’t seem that bad. They’ve stopped it bleeding in the corner.
Round 2 starts with Allen coming forward aggressive and Allen thumps Craig with a right hand! Allen eats a check hook but Craig is on wobbly legs! Craig shoots Allen defends and Craig goes back to guard.
Allen content to stay in guard and he lands a few good elbows. Craig trying to tie up hands as Allen stands and looks to pass. He moves to top half guard. And quickly into mount!
Craig shrimps back to get a half guard but Allen has him gift wrapped now. Now he moves to attack the neck but he can’t get the leverage as Craig again uses a lockdown to offset him. Allen abandons it and goes back to elbowing Craig from the top.
Real mean elbow as Allen tries to get up. Craig’s eyebrow bleeding profusely now. Allen postures up and drops a few shots from a standing position. Comes down but does it again. Craig getting his legs involved when Allen does that, but Allen is starting to really land good shots in this sequence.
1 minute left and Craig isn’t offering much here. A few upkicks but mostly he’s eating shots. Allen lands a nasty right hand inside that snaps Craig’s head into the fence. Allen staying relentless on Craig here. Craig rolling up into him but Allen has proven more than capable here. Craig needs new ideas.
Craig rolls and Allen takes the back! He’s attacking a choke when the round ends.

Round 3: Allen very aggressive to start the round with pressure. Craig fires a jab but a combo gets him that rocks Craig again! He shoots and Allen is attacking a guillotine. Craig move but Allen not gonna let him off here and he moves to a rear-naked choke. It’s deep! Craig is in a world of trouble and there’s the tap!
