FULL SCHEDULE
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men’s ice hockey team has released its 2022-23 schedule.
The Thoroughbreds will play 25 regular-season games including 18 contests in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) and 14 games at home at the Saratoga City Rink.
Following a pair of home exhibition games (Potsdam 10/15, Morrisville 10/21), the regular season kicks off at home with a weekend series against Chatham Oct. 28-29. Saturday, Oct. 29 will be Senior Day. Skidmore will also host a non-conference game against Geneseo before opening NEHC play on the road on Nov. 11 versus New England College.
Skidmore’s first league tilt at home will also be Pack the Rink on Friday, Nov. 18 in a rematch of the 2022 NEHC championship versus Babson.
The Thoroughbreds will look to defend their Skidmore Thanksgiving Invitational title Nov. 26-27 with an opening-round game versus Rivier. Wilkes and Oswego will battle on the other side.
The rest of the season will all be played against NEHC opponents. Highlights include Youth Hockey Night on Jan. 13 as part of a home-and-home weekend series with travel partner Castleton. The Stable Game and Alumni Game will be on Saturday, Feb. 4 against Elmira.
The regular season ends on the road Feb. 10-11 at UMass Boston and Johnson & Wales.
The NEHC Tournament opens with the quarterfinal round Feb. 18 followed by the semifinals on Feb. 25 and the championship March 4.
