STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut women’s hockey team is set to host a home and home series with first time opponent Stonehill College beginning Friday September 30, in Storrs.
UConn will welcome the Skyhawks to Freitas Ice Forum in Storrs, Connecticut Friday September 30 with puck drop beginning at 6pm. UConn will then travel to Stonehill Saturday, October 1 with puck drop at 5pm.
The Huskies are coming off a two-game series sweep of RIT to open the season. The two-game series featured a shutout performance by sophomore goaltender Tia Chan, and six different goal scorers, including the first career collegiate goal for freshman Meghane Duchesne-Chalifoux, and first career goal as a Husky for Carlie Magier.
This will be the first ever matchup between UConn and Stonehill. Stonehill college just recently made the transition to Division I hockey. The Skyhawks
