Los Angeles Rams OL Joe Noteboom – Achilles [Season]

NFL Week 6 – The Rams have lost yet another offensive lineman, according to a report from ESPN. Joe Noteboom officially tore his Achilles, sidelining the starting left tackle for the rest of the season. The Rams have already suffered injuries to several offensive linemen, including center Biran Allen, guard David Edwards, guard Tremayne Anchrum, center Coleman Shelton, and guard Logan Bruss. The only two linemen who have been available for every start had been Noteboom and right tackle Rob Havenstein.

The Rams currently rank 24th in team pass block win rate and 21st in team run block win rate, per ESPN. 

Miami Dolphins CB Nik Needham – Achilles [Season]

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport,  the Miami Dolphins will be without Nik Needham for the rest of the year after he tore his Achilles against the Minnesota Vikings. Needham had the fifth-most defensive snaps of any Dolphins player.  

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate – Neck

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles announced on Monday that tight end Cameron Brate has a sprained neck. Brate was carted off after a helmet-to-helmet hit in the third quarter of Thursday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to reports from ESPN, Brate was cleared to fly home with the team Sunday night, had all movement in his extremities, and suffered no neurological impairment.  According to our data, only 25% of all NFL players who sustained neck injuries miss more than one week, but half of those cases are absences of at least four weeks. 

Washington Commanders QB Carson Wentz – Finger [IR]

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Carson Wentz is set to undergo surgery for a fractured finger late Monday. Wentz is facing a recovery time of four to six weeks for the injury, according to Rapoport, and is expected to meet with a hand specialist before undergoing surgery.  

Arizona Cardinals G Justin Pugh – Knee [Season]

The Arizona Cardinals have lost starting left guard Justin Pugh for the season, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Pugh sustained an injury to his left knee during Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. According to Sports Info Solutions, Pugh had a blown block rate of 2.2% headed into Sunday and was the only Cardinals offensive lineman without a penalty this season. 

Concussions

The following players left their respective games with concussion symptoms and enter the league protocol:

  • Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson
  • Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett
  • Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Keke Coutee
  • Carolina Panthers cornerback CJ Henderson
  • San Francisco 49ers safety Talanoa Hufanga

Based on our current data, more than half of players miss at least one game once diagnosed with a concussion. However, just under 75% of players return from concussion protocol after one week. 

Other Injuries

Bills offensive tackle Spencer Brown ruled out of Sunday’s game against Kansas City with a foot injury.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson ruled out for the rest of the game with a right thumb injury.

Miami Dolphins defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah is questionable to return with a back injury.

Miami Dolphins cornerback Keion Crossen ruled out with a knee injury.

Miami Dolphins linebacker Trey Flowers ruled out with a foot injury.

New England Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne was forced out of Sunday’s game with a toe injury.

New England Patriots defensive tackle Christian Barmore downgraded to out during Sunday’s game against Cleveland with a knee injury.

New England Patriots safety Cody Davis was ruled out during Sunday’s game against Cleveland with a knee injury.

Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins had his knee tighten up during the game, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.

Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Morgan Moses was carted off the field with a heel injury, but returned to the field according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury.

Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Josh Tupou was declared out with a calf injury.

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end suffered a knee injury during warmups on Sunday.

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett aggravated a shoulder injury in the final five minutes of play, according to Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal.

Cleveland Browns guard Wyatt Teller will undergo an MRI for a calf injury, according to Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal.

Indianapolis Colts Bobby Okereke deemed questionable to return with a hand injury, according to Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star.

Carolina Panthers linebacker Cory Littleton has been ruled out of the remainder of the game with a groin injury, according to Darin Gantt from the Panthers’ official website.

New Orleans Saints tight end Adam Trautman left the game with a foot injury after making an attempt to return, according to Luke Johnson of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

San Francisco 49ers Charvarius Ward downgraded to out with a groin injury.
